Fortune Teller AR
This was a self-iniciated project, aimed at exploring new tools of content creation (this time Gravity Sketch, a virtual reality 3D software) and understanding how AI could help the creative process. The project started with the idea of creating a "fortune-telling" augmented experience, using Spark AR to develop it. The creative process was a fun one: with the help of Midjourney, I generated some concept artworks to inspire the 3D model, importing them to Gravity Sketch later on as reference images.
Challenges and Solutions
Using a 3D software within a virtual reality environment, although an awesome experience, has its challenges. First of all, unlike other softwares like Blender, it is geared more towards art expression than file optimization. Because of that, topology and file size needed to be adjusted within Blender after finished, and the whole texturing process happened within Spark AR. Gravity Sketch also didn't generate an optimized sphere that looked good on AR, so that final element had to be created on Blender as well.
